Care tips for your bed linen
Care tips for your bed linen - So that the joy lasts for a long time!
What could be better than lying down in his cuddly bed after a stressful day at work, throwing the blanket over his head and tackling his well-deserved hours of sleep with the smell of his pleasantly smelling bedding in his nose? On average, we spend a third of our lives sleeping. It is clear that this time should be made as pleasant as possible. Of course, this also includes top-groomed bed linen. Some tips on bed linen cleaning and bed linen care can be found here.
Change bed linen regularly
Every night we cuddle into it. But how often should we ideally clean our bed linen? As our skin sweats during sleep, liquid also gets sebum, table salt and acids – onto the laundry. Therefore, bed sheets and pillowcases should come to the washing machine at the latest every two weeks, in some cases even every week (e.g. in summer if you sweat more). In the evening, the bed linen also keeps you fresh for longer, so don't bring all the dirt that has accumulated during the day into your bedroom. If you have suffered from a cold, a quick cleaning is also recommended. For an additional freshness factor, you should also ventilate them every few days. In a freshly covered bed it sleeps better, the laundry does not absorb as many skin evaporations and at the same time you inhibit the risk of mite infestation.

Before our beloved bed linen comes into the washing machine, you should turn it to the left and close the zipper or buttons. This spares material and colours alike. In addition, the zippers cannot damage any other textiles, or even the laundry drum or door cuff. Prints are protected from abrasion and the textiles also stain on left washed less. By the way, it is also advisable to hang the laundry upside down on the clothes rack to protect the "beautiful" side from sunlight. Those who apply the bed linen have intensely radiant colours and a gentle outer material for a long time.
The right temperature
Of course, the material is important here. For cotton bed linen and more soiling, you should use the 60 degree program, which is the best way to remove dirt and germs. Jersey bed linen also tolerates this temperature well, linen can usually be washed at temperatures between 60 and 90 degrees and with pure silk it should not be more than 30 degrees. Due to today's quality of technology and water, a 40 degree wash is sufficient in many cases without coarse dirt, this also saves material, environment and wallet. The first wash, on the other hand, should always take place at 60 degrees. In any case, please observe the manufacturer's specifications to be on the safe side.
